The Yarn: Recover Yarns

The Recover Upcycled Textile System (Recycled Cotton):

- regenerates cotton fiber from textile waste such as old clothing and cutting scraps

- produced using none of the water and toxic chemicals required for conventional cotton fiber

- 500 gallons of water savings per shirt

- 42 billion liters of water, 4 million KG's of textile waste, 1.4 million PET bottles, 145 million kWh of energy, and more (2015 LCA) 








Recycled Polyester (RPET):

- sustainable solution to polyester plastic which is used in about 60% of all textiles

- turns post-consumer water bottles into new fiber for textile manufacturing

- no crude oil or animal-based products used

- minimal use of chemicals in processing reduces potential health and safety issues

- requires less than 1% of water required to produce virgin polyester

- increases demand for PET recycling, preventing plastic from ending up in oceans and landfills
